CHECKLIST: ACA Reporting

  • Confirm filing requirements for your company.

  • Confirm that the appropriate Full-Time employees are included in the report. Use the Measurement Period Reports in Namely Time to confirm.

  • Check and remove any "test" or duplicate employee profiles.

  • Medical plans meet the requirements of Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) and Minimum Value (MV.)

  • All FEINs have been implemented in Namely. Submit a New Company/New EIN Project if a new EIN is needed.

  • Confirm all active & terminated employee elections are in Namely for the current calendar year. Use the Generic Benefits (All Enrollments) report in Reports > Date Range to confirm.

  • Confirm PEO filing requirements. Applicable if your benefits were administered by a PEO at any point for the current calendar year.

  • Confirm that employees are in the correct classes (Full-Time, Part-Time, Union) Use the ACA Demographic Report in Reports > Date Range to confirm.

  • Confirm that changes in class history are captured. Use the ACA Demographic Report in Reports > Date Range to confirm.

  • Confirm medical plans and associated rates for the current calendar year are entered in the Benefits Administration platform.

  • Provide Namely with the COBRA information for the current calendar year. Applicable for companies with Self-Funded Medical Plans.
